Call 911 to report a crime in progress

    • Report suspicious behavior

    • Late night escorts home

    • Out of town house checks

    • If you see a crime in progress, call 911 first, then contact the Security Patrol.

  • Hours of operation for the Delachaise Security Patrol are 24/7.

  • The Delachaise Security District was formed in 2019 and expanded in 2023.  The security district was expanded through an election that appeared on the November 2023 ballot.  The vote for the security district won by over 60%.

The current boundaries are Carondelet to Freret Streets and Louisiana to Napoleon Avenues.  The security patrol is 24/7 and patrols every street within those boundaries.  The security company is Allied Security.  The vehicle is typically a small white SUV with the company logo on it and lights on the roof.

The security district fee is an add on to your property taxes and is paid along with your property taxes.  The total money collected by the city is then sent to the security district for operating and paying for the security patrol.Item description
