Become a Block Ambassador

Being a Block Ambassador is a great way to be involved in your community. This person serves as a point person to and for the residents on his/her block.  It’s a great opportunity to be involved without a lot of time commitment. Here is all you have to do:

 ·  Be on a first name basis with the residents on his/her block and have contact information for everyone -- email address and phone number.

·   Serve as an intermediary for quality-of-life issues and assist with communicating various neighborhood association initiatives such as a neighborhood cleanup day, social events, possible changes which might affect the neighborhood, important upcoming votes affecting the neighborhood, etc.

·   Lead or coordinate the efforts with neighbors on frequent trash pick and drain basin clean-outs on the block.

·   Welcome new neighbors, invite to DNA meetings, and share security patrol information.

·   Submit 311 requests to nola.gov as needed
